Dan Beltramo, CEO and Co-Founder
Dan brings a unique blend of advertising, technology, and data business experience to bear as CEO of Vizu Corporation. Prior to founding Vizu, Dan was Vice President of Marketing at Instill Corporation, a supply chain and market data business serving the food and restaurant industries where clients included Coca Cola, P&G, Nestle, General Mills, Subway, Yum! Brands, Dr. Pepper, etc. Dan joined Instill from the Clorox Company where he had spent several years managing various consumer product brands representing over $500 million in sales including Armor All, Fresh Step, Hidden Valley, Jonny Cat and KC Masterpiece. Dan started his career as a management consultant for the LEK Partnership, where he worked with start-ups and global enterprises.
Dan graduated with an undergraduate degree in Decision Analysis from Stanford University and earned his MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
Nick Rau, CTO and Co-Founder
Nick is responsible for all product development and engineering at Vizu and has more than a decade of experience in leading software development projects/teams. He has a strong understanding of high traffic/highly scalable web platforms, user interfaces, data systems, and digital media technologies, and he has worked on all of the Internet's highest traffic websites. Previously, Nick spent seven years at Modem Media / Digitas, a leading Internet marketing strategy and services firm, and was responsible for Modem's technology practice on the West Coast.
Nick graduated with a BS in electrical and computer engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana/Champaign and received a MS in electrical engineering and computer science from the University of California at Berkeley.
Jeff Smith, Senior Vice President, Marketing & Client Services
Jeff is responsible for Marketing, Client Services, and Operations at Vizu, with a focus on growing revenue from both new and existing customers. Prior to joining Vizu, Jeff was Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Keibi Technologies, a leading provider of social media optimization solutions for companies leveraging user generated content to drive consumer engagement, where he tripled the company's revenues and helped create a new paradigm for deriving value from and monetizing social media. Jeff's accomplishments, which range from managing new product launches into domestic and international markets for the world's second largest software company, Oracle Corporation, to driving the growth of multiple new ventures from inception to ultimate acquisition, have been chronicled in Fortune Magazine, the New York Times, and S&D Executive's "Pro's to Know."
Jeff graduated summa cum laude with an undergraduate degree in Business Economics from the University of California at Los Angeles, and earned his MBA with honors from the MIT Sloan School of Management.
Bill Jaris, Senior Vice President Sales
With over 20 years of years of advertising, media and marketing experience, Bill brings a valuable mix of industry know-how to the Vizu team. After a successful career in advertising sales with Time Inc., Times-Mirror and the Hearst Corporation, Bill transitioned to interactive advertising as Executive Vice President and founding member for @plan Inc, the pioneering internet market research company that was acquired by DoubleClick. Additionally, he was Vice President and Director of Business Development at Tacoda, the behavioral targeting company acquired by AOL in 2007. Most recently, Bill was New Business Development Director at Acerno Inc, the predictive marketing and e-commerce database company.
Bill is a graduate of Holy Cross College.
