If the goal is to increase store traffic, then the metric that matters is brand lift in intent to visit. Football is an important time of year for Buffalo Wild Wings. To drive to store visits, Buffalo Wild Wings teamed up with their agency Space 150 to create the "Protect the Football" game, a retro-inspired online and mobile platform game in which the goal is to avoid a series of game-day distractions to get to the nearest Buffalo Wild Wings restaurant. By using the metrics that matter to evaluate success, Buffalo Wild Wings and Space 150 was able to understand how effective the game was in impacting intent to visit, regardless of which screen consumers interacted with the game on.
